Materamorfosi è un termine nuovo, un nuovo vocabolo da imparare.
L’inedita parola attribuita al progetto nasce per racchiudere il concetto visivo delle opere che, con un chiaro riferimento all’artista Escher, vuole ricordare che in questo momento storico la città di Matera (Capitale Europea della Cultura 2019) sta attraversando un cambiamento, una mutazione di forma e spazio senza dimenticare però la sua storia, il suo folclore, le sue tradizioni.
Insomma, questa è la Materamorfosi: una trasformazione, una ricerca, un’evoluzione, una via di fuga dalla prevedibilità.

Materamorphosis is a new word to learn. The original name of the project includes the figurative concept of the works which explicitly refers to the artist Escher and intends to remind that in this period the city of Matera is going through a change of form and space without forgetting its history and its traditions. So, this is Materamorphosis: a transformation, a research, an evolution, a way to escape from predictability.
